Hi! …I’m glad you’re here.

This blog was launched in October 2024 to help people like you transition into a new way of thinking and living, a way that is much healthier for all humans, animals and the planet.

We are in a time of great transition.

We are seeing the old power structures of the world crumbling around us and this may cause great uncertainty and unrest.

I think that there has never been a better time to develop the skills of resilience and resourcefulness.

The idea of being resilient and resourceful, and the importance of this, has occurred to me many times as I have traveled and lived in different countries around the world.

I grew up in Western Canada and have had the travel bug my whole life. Over the past 15 years I lived in Thailand, Chile, Ecuador, traveled extensively through the area called the Altiplano region in Peru/ Bolivia/ Northern Chile, Saudi Arabia, Canada, China and Mexico.

In all the countries on four continents I have lived in I have witnessed clever ways people have found to solve problems, survive financially, emotionally and physically, and endure hardships that affected them on an individual, family and community level.

I have learned many lessons in observing how different people cope with uncertainty in situations where there was a spectacular lack of government support.

I think we can learn a lot from other cultures, both rich and poor – perhaps especially from people who are poor- in terms of solving problems in ways that helps people in a community survive and thrive.

I have a particular passion for solutions that are simple, natural and eco-friendly.

I hope that by sharing these sensible ‘green’ and empathetic solutions and stories of resilience and resourcefulness from around the world that it will spark ideas in your own mind about how an idea could be adapted to work in your local area.

My ultimate goal is to empower people to think differently and find ways to become more self sufficient and able to use local resources to solve everyday problems and improve your quality of life.

In addition to stories and articles with ideas that I hope will be thought provoking and enlightening, on this blog you will find solid educational articles about new ‘green’ and eco-friendly innovations and technologies that I think will significantly help humanity take better care of itself and the planet.

I will include product recommendations to help you make informed purchase decisions should you choose to follow my DIY project suggestions and advice.

Today is a great day to try something new that could have a positive impact on your life and your community.

Signing off with peace and good wishes to all who read this.

Together we rise.

Sincerely,

Marianne Graff
